Genesis Rhapsodos Rapier Tutorial

1. Search!!!
I need a picture.

2. Now the length. My rapier will be about 150cm

3. Now I draw the parts on the wood and cut it out

4. The next step is to slim down the blade and I draw the Cup hilt on the wood and cut it the pommel and the wings from above out.

5. Now I glue the parts together

6. The cup hilt will be processed and in the following picture you can see how.

7. I painted the blade red. Improtant: leave some space at the edge. The pommel gets silver and i rapped a leather tape at the handle.

8. Now it's time for the other wings. You can build them out of wood. I tried this but the wood broke.

My second choice is a special material called Wobla's Deco Art.

Those balls are a kind of thermoplastic modeling clay. You put them into hot water and after this you can change their form. I made a plate and on this plate I draw the wings cut them out and painted them silver. 

9. The wings were glued to the cuphilt.

10. Now I made a small part like in this picture and glued it to the cross-guard.

11. At the end you have to paint everything.

Done!!!

Kuro Usagi (Black Rabbit) Bunnytail

"Bunny Accessoires" Part 2

Now comes part 2 the Bunnytail.

It is really easy to make. I used the blue fake fur and some cotton wool and a safety pin.

1. At first I made a pattern

2. I draw the pattern twice on the fur.

3. Now I sewn the two fur pieces together. IMPORTANT: Let a small hole open to cram in the cotton wool.

4. Now you cram in the cotton wool until the tail is big enough.

5. Now you have to close the hole by sewing.

6. At the end you need the safety pin. The pin will be your fortification of your tail.

"Bunny Accessoires" Part 1

So on "Japantag" in Düsseldorf I will be a bunny. Here is the Tutorial of the ears and the tail.^^

At first the ears Tutorial

The material for the ears are blue foam rubber for the inside of the ears and short blue fake fur. I also need a wire, glue, clamps and a hairband.


1. At first I cut two ears out of the foam rubber.

2. Now I put the wire around the ears like in the picture.

3. I glued the wire to the foam rubber.

4. Now there comes the fur. I draw the ear on the fur and cut it out just like in the picture.

5. Now glue the foam rubber to the fur and fold about 1cm and glue it to. This should look as in the picture. I used the clamps to hold it.

6. I repeat step 5 and glued the two ears to the hairband. 

Done!!!!

Next Project

My next Project is the rapier of Genesis Rhapsodos from Final Fantasy 7.
I will do a Tutorial to this Project and I'm really looking forward to it. This Sword is quite a challenge and I'm really curious how it will be at the end.
